Gatugi Factory – Othaya Cooperative, Kenya

Part of the farmer-led Kenya Cooperative Coffee Exporters (KCCE) network, Gatugi Factory processes cherry from 500 smallholders in the Othaya region. After a 27–35 hour fermentation and 12-hour soak, the coffee is density sorted and dried for two weeks before final milling at Othaya’s dry mill—ensuring Kenya’s signature quality and precision.

Each farmer contributes to a total annual output of 323,000 kg, averaging just two exportable bags per producer.
